Inmates Jimmy Causey, SCDC #172046, W/M, Age: 35 and Johnny Brewer, SCDC #258646, W/M, Age: 39, were discovered missing from the facility during a roll call count on Tuesday, November 1, 2005. Inmate Causey is serving a life sentence for Kidnapping (3 counts), Armed Robbery and 1st Degree Burglary from Richland County.

U.S. Marshals Offer Reward for South Carolina Escapees

The United States Marshals Service is seeking any information that would lead to the arrests of Jimmy Causey and Johnny Brewer. Causey and Brewer are believed to have escaped from Broad River Correctional Institution Tuesday morning. The Marshals are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of either fugitive.

On Thursday, November 3, 2005, at approximately 12:30 PM, Inmate Jimmy Causey, SCDC #172046, and Inmate Johnny Brewer, SCDC #258646, were apprehended without incident by SLED agents in the town of Ridgeland, S.C. They previously escaped from Broad River CI on November 1, 2005. They are currently being returned to SCDC custody.
