This rating is reserved for posts which contain false and misleading statements about other users of this site. Posts containing personal attacks can also be assigned a 1. Trusted users are the only ones that can issue this rating.

This is the lowest rating that can be assigned by normal users of the site. Probably it's most effective usage would be in rating obvious trolls. If a comment is just way off-topic and/or so poorly written as to be almost unintelligible, then it may qualify for a 2 rating.

3 - Borderline troll

A post that contains some useful information but also some trollish statements. Also reserved for posts that are trolls, but not worthy of a 2.

Exactly as the title says.

5 - Got a couple of points. (see description for original 3).
6 - Above average

Indicates the poster has something useful to say, perhaps producing a chuckle or a slight "hmmmmm". Here the poster is on the right track.

A very good post that makes you roll on the floor laughing or inspires you to do some research. Not quite top of the range, though.
