There were a few cases around DeCSS, with trade secrets at issue. As far as I know, they never did stop publication of the source code, though there is still no unencumbered Linux DVD player. Hardly the Apocalypse Brown is looking for, in fact it shows FOSS's resilience.
Then there was the Lindows trademark dispute that turned into a nightmare for Microsoft.
And the Java embrace-and-extend case that MS eventually settled with Sun for big bucks.
