What can happen is that the employer intimidates to stop working on the project. Maybe it is a PR nightmare for the company, or is it not in their interest but stupidity is everywhere.

First isseu Ken Bron ignores is the fact that maybe most people are verry carefull with IP. He doesn't show that there is any problem.

First, if there is a strict IP policy, the company knows verry quickly what hapens because opensource has a verry public exposure
