As there hasn't been much new on the Novell case since PJ's "vacation" I haven't started a Novell index yet, but probably will shortly.
You are welcome to snarf and replicate (or, of course) link any or all of it here as you see fit. (going forward as well, including Novell when I do it).
As for documents to date, I'll later snarf the complete dockets for both Novell and IBM and put them up too, with updates as required.
Frank Sorenson's http://sco.tuxrocks.com is still up and evidently he still maintains it. And I haven't looked thoroughly but I'm not certain he fetches all the appendices and exhibits, which are sometimes more important than the body itself.
My purpose is to make sure that new docs are available at Y and IV (and anywhere else interested) going forward. I don't know how much, if any, reliance Frank has on GL. I'm really "afraid" (not quite the right word) that GL may close shop and worry that tuxrocks may go with it. So close to the end, it would be a pity if the history were not properly recorded.
The flip side of that is that if GL does close down that I fear SCO may be emboldened and continue to hang on that much longer. My index is intended to be at least a little stroke saying, "No, there are still many eyses upon you!"
The biggest problem is that it can get expensive. Small filings are only pennies and no problem. The big issue is big filings, if there are a lot of them. 956, for example, was six sections including the appendices, broken up into about 1.7M sections which cost 2.40 each to dl. One gentleman has offered to help pay for it, which is appreciated, but I have no idea how far he's willing to go. IBM will probably not be that expensive, probably only a few more large filings, but discovery is ongoing in Novell, not to mention various pending motions, so if these cases go on much longer it could be so. I wouldn't begrudge up to 100/month on this, but after that I'd probably have to start thinking about how much I can afford to put into it.
I was hoping that others might "share the load" as in I do one or two weeks, somebody else does a week or two, then somebody else, then back to me and we call copy and share the filings. Of course we need to be fairly coordinated not to miss anything.
