Evidently all the professional training classes for Microsoft products follow the same script prescribed by MS. Almost every certified training company has nearly identical offerings. But none of the local ones had the courses I thought I would need (C# and ASP.NET) less than several months out. One of our sister companies recommended SetFocus in Parsippany and they had them scheduled soonest, so that's where I went.
Also the italicised text following the xml quoted blocks appears to be an artifact of Scoop. There's nothing wrong with the escapes I posted for the angle brackets/greater-and-less than signs or the xml constructs that I can see.
