Purpose

Purpose of this site

So, why did I decide to set up this site? A couple of things I think:

• I just enjoy setting up web sites
• It was an opportunity to learn how to set up a Scoop site (which was not easy btw)
• A belief that a good community site would be needed in anticipation of other attacks on Linux, the GPL, F/OSS, and all things related.

As someone who regularly visits many web sites that are tracking the SCO v _____________ lawsuits, I also felt that improvements could be made in how discussion, research, and commentary was managed. There are many people and locations providing valuable input in these battles. I have no desire to replace what they are doing (and don't even pretend that I could do so if I attempted it). I do hope to serve as a rallying point for these many efforts, perhaps provide some things these other sites and people do not make available, and provide a place to further the efforts of F/OSS.
