avoiding deletion

Groklaw

By br3n, Section Diary
Posted on Thu Dec 23rd, 2004 at 10:20:11 EST

freedom is a strange thing.some dont even realize what it means.they have ideas of it but dont fully understand till a freedom they are used to is removed.

reading groklaw now is a very different experience to what it was when it start on radio web.then the only thing anyone was ever called on was language or making suggestions to illegal activity.
now if you ask a question about policy you find yourself constantly checking to see if your password still works or you post an explanation that you arent trolling but are just curious.
very sad that people are afraid of their account being closed for asking a question.try asking about a point of law that is contrary also to what is presented.

oh i know it is pj's blog but come on folks, get real.there are moral and ethical issues come up that are ignored.people keep saying to handle it privately but when you try that route she ignores it.if you speak out in public on another board you are subjected to the lowest accusations a person can dig up.even against your family is not too low.you might ought to reflect on that for awhile.
because to me if you open that and try to defend that position it can turn and bite you very bad.

everyone seems to forget i removed myself from groklaw and requested the deletion, because i was ashamed of the association to it.i tested the hypothesis and it proved correct by me being demoted from moderator position.i had taken that CHOICE.that wasnt pj's decision,it was mine and quit trying to rob me of that wise decision.

now how do people plan to stay on groklaw and not be deleted?they have to be tiptoeing around and watching everything they post, doesnt that sound like fun?

A rather pedantic observation, as I certainly adhere to the principles of free speech...but the First Amendment as it regards Free Speech only applies to squelching induced by the government, not by private entities.

Cheers,

When you posted to said board
Was it on topic of the board?
Could it not have just gone here in your diary or
on some other that agrees with your post?
Or did you simply want to bring back another grokwar?

Did your post start off objectively or did it begin with ad-hominem attacks on PJ?

Did anyone politely ask you to move it to a different board before you posted?
Did you acknowledge people politely asked you to move the topic elsewhere or explain why you had to make an off-topic post or did you even let anyone know it was off-topic by merely putting OT?

Did you attack anyone else or their credibility in asking that you move your topic elsewhere?

And as a last clarification you say two things.
You resigned and asked to be deleted then in the next sentence you say you were demoted?

Are all these questions out-of-line? Or are we supposed to accept that when you post something to a board off-topic you MUST be heard and everyone who questions it is simply evil/duped by PJ/have a personal vendetta against you?

First Post!!! (3.50 / 16) (#1)

> now how do people plan

Err, I guess

a) I will remember that my GL nym is not me, the
person.  That way I will never be deleted.

b) When I choose to post at GL, I will eschew the
4 letter anglo saxon vocabulary and combative
online style preferred by some.

c) When I choose to post at GL, I will bite my
tongue when tempted to suggest that SCOX
management be lynched or that Lyndon be nuked.

d) When I choose to post at GL, I will use
proper punctuation and well-formed sentences,
so that my messages are easily understood,
even by grandmothers.

e) I will not use the public comment area of GL
articles to ask GL policy, GL morality,  or GL
ethics questions.

f) In the event that I cannot live up to these
herculean tasks, I will not post at GL.

g) I will not let anyone "rob me of that wise
 decision"

And another four hours of peoples lives wasted with "you're a liar", "no you're a liar". First amendment issues aside, I find this very sad. The time could have been better spent rallying those in the battles involving intellectual property (look familiar? it's a paraphrase of the purpose of this web site) or speding time with your kids

Just my 2 cents.

Shut up already. (1.40 / 15) (#6)
by Potential Recruit on Thu Dec 23rd, 2004 at 14:02:37 EST
Nobody cares how much you hate PJ. Nobody.

PJ has never attacked you the way you attack her. The way you shit on her all over the net.

PJ is 50 times the person you are. No matter how despicable you think she is she can't possibly be as bad as you. Look at how low you have sunk in your jihad against PJ. Look at how pathetic you have become.

Get some help. You really need psychological help. Seek the advice of a qualified medical person right away. For your sake and the sake of all around you go see a counselor or a therapist today. You are a danger to yourself and others around you.

I hope to god you don't have kids or are not lashing out at the people around you like you are here.

This used to be a spambot post that is flooding the site. Due to volume, I had to resort to this while I work to block access by these bots. My apologies - thanks for your patience.
