Grokline.net moved? If so, to where?

This evening I was just poking around and decided to check out the whois record for grokline.net (I had been there looking to see if they've done anything new with their patent research).  Anyway, I noted that grokline.net now lists its domain servers as:

ns.ilan.net
ns2.ilan.net

I'm not sure what they(they being the domain servers) were previously (as in, prior to Pamela Jones announcing her resignation from OSRM and indicating that ibiblio had agreed to take on the UNIX timeline project aka grokline.net).  I'm pretty sure grokline.net was being hosted by OSRM (see this story for more) and the grokline.net footer information still indicates OSRM is providing hosting services.

Now, OSRM's whois information indicates their domain servers are:

ns1.dynamicname.com
ns2.dynamicname.com

This looks like it ultimately goes back to the company ADD2NET.com which looks like it is probably the host company for OSRM.

Meanwhile, following ilan.net led me to the company, Hosted Solutions, LLC, a NC corporation, running out of Cary, NC.

So, has grokline.net moved or were they always hosted by Hosted Solutions?  The information in the godaddy.com db seems to indicate that perhaps it was always hosted by them?  Likewise, despite the grokline.net homepage indicating it is "hosted by" OSRM, I think some of the OSRM information leaves open the possibility that they were merely paying for the hosting services and not actually hosting the site.

Netcraft indicates a change in Netblock owner on 3rd December, but not in IP address.

For OSRM netcraft shows a completely different netblock owner.

So my reading would be:

(1) You are taking the reading of OSRM providing the hosting a bit too literally, I guess it just means they pay the hosting cost.
(2) The "original" provider has likely merged/sold out/renamed itself to another provider.

Can't see the relevance anyway, until it moves to Ibiblio it doesn't matter. I'm more interested in what's happening with the Patent project, something I guess ultimately more significant than the timeline project.

Grokline hasn't "moved". It's still available at grokline.net. Who cares who is providing hosting or name services for them.

Why is this important to you?

Renaming http://ip-wars.net into http://pj-watchers.net (banner suggestion: a fat red cockroach sitting under a big magnifying glass) or http://gl-spotters.net (banner suggestion: a penguin wearing a tin foil hat looking through a telescope) might help to attract the right target audience for this site.

This used to be a spambot post that is flooding the site. Due to volume, I had to resort to this while I work to block access by these bots. My apologies - thanks for your patience.
