some of you knew i have been waiting forever on test results.over 3 months since this started.they did 2 things, the first was taking a culture of a sore that wont heal.all i got for answer on that was it was negative so the doc says that is good news?
the other was mammogram results and they all came back clean.the doctor wants to do some more tests but isnt sure which to do first so i am still in waiting mode, but very much at peace with things so far.i am highly agitated that it takes so long to get test results but not much i can do about that.
i figure i just beat all the odds today-:)
cancer twice and actual lumps conbfirmed and now everything clean? wonder what the odds were?

Glad to hear it Bren!!

It seems these days sometimes we only get the quality of service we ask for.  Good reason to stay on top of things yourself, informed and nicely pushing the doctors for information and alternatives.

I had a friend whose father was diagnosed with stomach cancer, the initial Dr was of the make him comfortable let nature take is course mindset.  Luckily his other daughter was a nurse and pushed for a second opinion and new doctor.  Bottom line is after treatment her father is still with us.  Had he taken the first doctor's I think the despair and depression would have been enough to do him in.

That is good news, br3n.

I've had 3 close family members with cancer. One died, one's in a holding pattern, and one's made a full recovery. I was a bone marrow donor to the one who passed away. It's been a roller coster ride, and I definitely sympathize with you.

if i seem to be missing in action it is because i am.
we are finally moving into the trailer we had been working on for about 2 years.
this is the slowest move i have ever seen.
i still have the charter account for a few more days but am going to be going to dial up account with beelsouth as soon as the details get worked out.
we hope to get the desk moved this afternoon and the computer but i will have to see if i can remember how to use kppp.
i am sure i have forgotten something important and will probably have to ask questions as usual tho.
but i will return

OSDL chief speaks about layoffs, Bitkeeper, and SCO

Linux developers with the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) are getting back to full speed after last spring's interruption to kernel development from the BitKeeper affair, and the organization is shifting gears to focus on intellectual property and European growth, leaving behind the SCO suits against Linux users and providers, which are now "dead," OSDL CEO Stuart Cohen says.

So, it wasn't much of a surprise to find that students weren't using the systems at all. A new report notes a similar result at American University where most students didn't even try the system, despite it being free, and many didn't want it to be offered at all.
